The Internet: Curse or Blessing?
So I’m back to where I was in September: the internet in my room has stopped working again.
This is an ongoing, on-and-off issue that has persisted for the last couple of months: it goes down, I bypass the bureaucracies of IT Services by directly calling the person in charge of the networks. It then kicks back into life, but after 2 weeks, on a Friday afternoon, it goes into shock and dies again.
Then the whole cycle would repeat over and over…
You know… I’m not gonna bother calling them back. Apart from the inability to download the latest episode of Prison Break, I have nothing to lose. Wifi in the Commonsblock is just as good, if not more productive.
*On further thought, I take that back: I’m gonna call them tomorrow and get this sorted out. This is such a major pain…!!!

If your place is with Telus, it ain’t gonna go away. We’ve had that problem for 7 years now. It’s not so bad now (it only goes down for a few hours at a time every few days now, but several years ago, it could be down for 2 weeks and they would only be able to fix it temporarily).
