Running Around

Apart from pulling in record numbers of all-nighters, I’ve also been doing some running-around lately.

I usually go along Marine Drive and onto 16th Avenue till a bit beyond the UBC Ropes Course. I was glued to the gym last year. However, after I started staying on campus, I’ve really begun to love the outdoors. Getting some fresh sea breeze and observing the colours all around you while getting some cardio is perhaps, in my opinion, the best stress-reliever out there.

Now there’s just no turning back to the fish bowl.

Distance: 5.2 KM. Time: ~30 minutes (yup, still working on it :P ). Anyone else considersing the Sun Run?

Check out runningmap.com — a pretty nifty little tool.

Lately I’ve been slack on getting myself to go running, though I do love it once I get going.

I’ve been thinking about the Sun Run, haven’t decided anything yet, we’ll see!

Eastwood! I’ve got to join you sometime. Do you usually go in the morning or afternoons? (You’re right; the treadmill isn’t a very good substitute for the real thing.)

Yeah that’d be great! Are you into it also?

Pretty much any time — as long as there’s a 3-hour gap between eating and running :P

That’s a pretty good time considering you’re doing it consistently. I imagine that route can be a bit dangerous though especially at night… so be careful!

Sun Run is a lot of fun and very inspiring. It makes you feel like a million bucks after you run it.
