MyBlogLog is Getting Spammy
This is really getting kinda sad. What used to be a great blogging community where users share ideas and communicate with each other — yes, I am referring to MyBlogLog — has now crossed over to the dark side… a more spammy side.
I rarely receive legit comments now. Most of the comments that I receive — if not all — are mass-sent, and contain one type of link or another.
Time to wake up, people: MyBlogLog is slowly phasing out. It no longer brings in a ton of traffic. Considering that most comments contain links, I rarely pay any attention to them now.
Anyone else noticing this?
Reader's Comments
I agree. Its been that way for some time now, but I am noticing nearly all the messages are broadcast messages, mostly spamming for links or something. I only use it now because I like the recent readers widget in my sidebar.
You’re not kidding. I can’t remember the last time I came across a visitor like yourself who I’ve had a somewhat regular dialogue with that widened into consistent reading of each others writing. I thought the yahoo! buyout was supposed to help. Where’s the help?
Well… hopefully MyBlogLog does something about it soon. There’s always work in progress, just like their look ‘n feel upgrade a few days ago.
I’ve noticed that many blogs have anti-spam things in their comments section such as to write a number, say the sum of X+Y and things like that.
It really solves the problem as the machines can’t do them.
Yup. I agree, although I’ve used the option to message members about three times so I’m guilty of it. BUT for the most part, it’s all there is there. You should go to Cre8buzz.com. It’s where I’ve been since October and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Look me up as wornoutwoman.
Are you getting any good traffic from Cre8buzz?
I agree. how many times can I read the phrase, “This article is great. Thanks for sharing.” or the like… obviously, I can point out which posts are usually real and which are spammers.
