If I Had Time

If I had [more] time

I would

Blog

Do the Grouse Grind more than just 1x a week

Listen to hours worth of accumulated BBC podcasts, ones that I never got around to

Read The Lancet through ScienceDirect, especially The Lancet Infectious Diseases

Finish the last two chapters of Tall Tales About the Mind & Brain, which has been collecting dust for nearly a month now

Play saxophone during the day, as opposed to playing at midnight inside the sweaty, humid back-seat of a car, hidden underground

…etc.

But, the concept of time is very subjective

might as well make the most of it

To bed, to bed!

  • Agreed.

The severe lack of time is truly depressing.

  • It’s summertime! Isn’t this the prime time for checking off those to-do lists now that the sun doesn’t set until late evening?

    • … or how darkness retreats as soon as the seagulls are out ‘n about? Yup, the living is mostly easy apart from classes, work, and more classes.

sdasst4? I didn’t know that there are so many of you :P

  • What’s your time for the Grind? If our times are similar maybe we can hit the trail together sometime :D

    • It varies from time to time. For me, there’s a negative-correlation between the number of hikes and time. (Gah! I feel like I’m writing a research paper — must stay in this mind-set though, until classes end.)

Best time so far, 53 minutes. I usually leave for Grouse at 7:00 in the morning on Saturdays to avoid the tourist traffic.

      Yeah, let’s.

  • Oh dear, I had middle-aged ladies in MEC Spandex totally schooling me on the Grind the last/first/only time I’ve attempted it, which was near two years ago now. Guess I should give it a go again one of these summer days.

How are classes going, by the way?

  • Oh, and this may just find itself on the above list… but you may find the following interesting as well: brain puzzles being analyzed for research purposes by the Vision Lab and the Social Neuroscience and Psychopathology Lab at Harvard University, at http://www.testmybrain.org.
