I managed to get my hands on 300 Mb+ worth of BC Provincial Exams and answer keys for all subjects, dating back to 1994. I’m in my last year of high school (:D !), so these dreadful exams won’t be as useful for me as for the others that are still doing their time. But hopefully the exams will do some good in the coming months.
So what I’ve done with them is that I uploaded everything onto my server (which, by the way, has 300 Gb of drive space and hosted by Hostmonster) and adapted a handy, little PHP directory viewer. Well… the exam vault is located right here:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare register_sidebars() (previously declared in eastwoodzhao.com/wp-includes/widgets.php:15) in eastwoodzhao.com/wp-content/plugins/widgets/widgets.php on line 42
Is that what you saw after upgrading to WordPress 2.3 and activating your Automattic Widgets Plugin?
The problem, obviously, lies within the Widgets plugin. The solution is beyond simple. No worries! With version 2.3, Widgets are automatically included within the WordPress backbone. That’s why when you try to activate an existing Widget plugin, it gives you an error message and tells you that the plugin is already running. All you have to do now, is to remove the Widgets plugin from the “Plugins” folder and carry on with your blogging.

There are settings you can change that would increase the speed of your browser (yes, seriously!). It doesn’t actually change the speed of your internet connection, but you can configure it so that the browser renders a page before it is fully loaded. To do that, we need to enable pipelining.
Step 1. Load the Firefox Config Page
Load up the Firefox configuration page in your browser by typing about:config in the url path.
Step 2. Use Search Feature
At the top of the page, you’ll see a search feature. Use it, by typing in network.http, to find the pipelining options.
Step 3. Modifications
- network.http.pipelining
- Set this to true, to enable pipelining.
- network.http.proxy.pipelining
- Set this to true, to enable pipelining to the proxy server.
-
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
- Set this to 8, to have a maximum of 8 pipelining requests at once. Possible values are from 1 to 8.
And… that’s all folks! From my personal experience, I noticed a slight speed boost. Share your experiences!

Here is it! After struggling for quite a bit, I finally managed to implement this new Wordpress theme.
What do I like about this theme over the previous ones I’ve had? This has 3-columns, really giving me a lot of room to expand with ads and larger images.
I’d really like to hear from you! What do you think of this theme? How can I improve it?
